EA Sports FC 27 may boast an almost complete lineup of officially licensed uniforms, but the virtual pitch still has a color problem. Across multiple prominent clubs, players have noticed subtle and not-so-subtle inaccuracies in the default kit representations — from dull, muted color shades to missing trim elements and mismatched kit parts that stray from what athletes actually wear on the pitch.

Enter RODE (@RODEMODS), a kit creator and modder who has taken on the task of correcting these persistent visual flaws. Built using modding tools made possible by FIFER, RODE's FC 27 mod package specifically focuses on adjusting kit colors, patterns, and trims across several major clubs — and the results are striking.

Liverpool and Sheffield United Lead the Color Corrections

A comparison showcase highlights several examples where the base EA Sports FC 27 kit designs fall short. Liverpool's 26-27 home kit originally appeared in a dark-red shade that fails to match its real-life appearance; the modification restores the club's signature vibrant red across the shirt, shorts, and socks.

Sheffield United suffered from a similar color error, with EA applying a burgundy tone closer to Aston Villa or Burnley rather than the Blades' traditional bright red stripes. RODE's fix brings the Yorkshire club's identity back to its authentic look.

European Clubs Get Authentic Color and Trim Fixes

The corrections extend across mainland Europe as well. Schalke 04 receives its authentic royal blue base and a properly scaled front graphic pattern. For 1. FC Köln, the mod adds the black trim around the collar and sleeve cuffs that was missing in the official release, alongside color fixes for Hamburger SV and Trabzonspor.

These adjustments may seem minor on paper, but for fans who spend hours on the virtual pitch, kit accuracy is a core part of immersion. A muted red or a missing collar trim can break the authenticity that EA's licensing deal is supposed to deliver.

Beyond Colors: Fully Licensed Serie A Sides and National Teams

In addition to correcting inaccurate kit shades, RODE's wider license mod package adds fully licensed kits, crests, authentic fonts, and visual stadium assets for unlicensed Serie A sides and missing national teams on the PC platform. For PC players who want the most complete and accurate FC 27 experience, this package fills gaps that the base game leaves open.
