I want to make it so it won't require you to add a username to sign up. I tried setting it to email, but it just says both. 

Also, is there a way to verify that the person owns the Minecraft Account?

It's always necessary to provide a username when signing up, there's no way to change/disable this.

To verify that someone owns the account, you can configure and enable MCAssoc (StaffCP -> Integrations -> Minecraft -> Account Verification), or disable website registration and use the Nameless plugin for v2 which provides a /register command.

When I go into that the only option is "Force Premium Accounts"
